 When your child is diagnosed with a chronic/life threatening illness, the gravity of the diagnosis is far reaching. The first concern is for your child and ensuring that he or she receive the best medical treatment available. And soon enough the financial implications of that goal become an ugly reality. Even with medical insurance, families face the costs of deductibles, co-payments and travel costs to and from treatment.
